A veteran led, 501c3 chartered non-profit organization that began in 2010 to enhance the lives of our nation’s Veterans. The team understands the issues and struggles Veterans deal with every day. They are a community oriented and outdoor focused organization whose approach is strategic and holistic—focusing on three main areas—the mind, body, and giving back purpose. The Mind—with a focus on building community, through shared stories and experience. The Body—through outdoor experience and reconnecting with the land Veterans served. And Giving Back Purpose—through outdoor employment opportunities. Their goal is to deliver the greatest impact to Veterans through a variety of outdoor trips and events
Founded in 2012, a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, led by veterans that focuses on providing cost-free, bureaucracy-free, stigma-free, confidential, and effective mental health treatment for post-9/11 Veterans and their families. Not all wounds are physical – The Headstrong Project works to heal hidden wounds; providing care for Veterans, but the right kind of care. Having a team led by Veterans who have been through the [VA] process, gives the group a leg-up in focusing on exactly what Veterans need. That team is comprised of some of the most forward thinking medical, clinical, and non-profit leaders in the military Veteran community.
